Our goal has always been that we wanted to own a practice but we wanted to create something that wasn’t offered in our area. After both being in this industry for years and with fear-free becoming a popular practice we came up with the idea for a concierges vet. We could cater to clients with big dogs who are hard to get in the car, multiple animals who are a struggle to all take in, anxious animals who don’t do well outside of their home, and really people who have a hard time making it to the vet during normal business hours. We also wanted to provide a service that people on a fixed income, such as retired individuals, could afford us.
One thing that I think sets us apart is that unlike a traditional clinic who has appointment blocks of 15 or 30 minutes with most doctors being double booked, we set our appointments for 60 minutes or more. Of course most of the time it doesn’t take that long but we want our clients to be able to really discuss all their concerns. We don’t want them to feel as if we are in a hurry to get to the next room or in our case home. We currently only see a maximum of 5-6 clients per day. This allows us to really focus on their pets and get to know them.
